Frequently Asked Questions on Personal Injury
How much will this cost me?
We handle personal injury on a contingency fee basis. That means that we don't get paid until you get paid. My fee will be a percentage of the total settlement or verdict. We will not settle your case unless and until you give us the authority to do so.
What are damages?
Damages include past and future pain and suffering, medical expenses, lost wages (both past and future), temporary and permanent disability, property damage and loss of consortium.
Is there a minimum amount of damages before I can file suit?
No. No case is too small or too large. We will actively represent all clients to obtain the best recovery we can.
Is a workers compensation claim the same as a personal injury claim?
No, you may have a claim for both.
What states do you practice in?
I am licensed in both Kansas and Missouri and my practice is mostly centered around the Kansas City Metropolitan area.
Can I schedule a free consultation?
Of course, simply call or e-mail our office and a member of our staff will be happy to schedule an appointment that is convenient for you.
What if I cannot travel due to my injuries?
We can come to your home until you are healthy enough to travel.
Is there a time limit in which a lawsuit must be filed?
Yes, there are time limitations in both Kansas and Missouri and if you miss them you will forever be barred to recover any monies for the injuries and damages that you sustained. Therefore, do not hesitate, call us so we can protect all of your rights.
